Alpha/Omega Christian Card Game Angel Abilities Part 2

God created the Angels, the earth, the elements—everything. He gave His angels governance over the elements. The angels have the power to wield the elements and God’s own powers to help people. In the Christian trading card game Alpha/Omega, many of the angels are able to use these powers to help you defeat the Opponent.

“He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart” - 1 Corinthians 4:5

The meaning of the name Uriel is “God is my light.” The angel of wisdom, Uriel wields the light of God, shining it into our lives, to dispel the darkness that can be brought on by confusion.

In the Christian trading card game, Alpha/Omega, Uriel has the ability to passively blind all Opponent cards, giving them a -2 penalty to their strength, for as long as Uriel is in play. This is symbolic of the fact that in the presence of God’s great light, Satan, our real-life Opponent, and his friends have less power over us, and can do much less damage.

“So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord” – Leviticus 10:2

Nuriel’s name can be translated to “fire of the Lord.” Called upon by those people wishing to ward off evil, he uses the fire of God to protect us.

When Nuriel attacks Opponent cards in the Christian card game Alpha/Omega, the Opponent card sustains 1 fire damage every turn until they are defeated.

“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve” - Jeremiah 17:10

Testing each soul with the fire of God, Puriel decides who is pure of heart, and good, and who is a follower of Satan. Both Puriel and Nuriel wield the fire of God, but they use it quite differently.

Puriel punishes those who do evil, and rewards those who do good deeds.

In Alpha/Omega, the symbolic powers of the angel Puriel include the ability to take strength from an Opponent card, lending it to a Good card.

“A flood will carry off his house, rushing waters on the day of God’s wrath” – Job 20:28

Azariel, the angel governing the waters of the earth, rather symbolically has the ability to do 3 extra damage when the Place in play is water-based. He’s best played for now when Crystal Sea is active.
