Clothed in Christ Sunday School Lesson - Galatians 3:23-29

Use this Sunday School lesson to teach kids about our unity in Christ.

Needed: A piece of white cloth for each student with a head hole poked out of it or cross necklaces for each student, pictures of different types of people (included below)

Ask students, What are some ways people can be different from each other?

(To help them think, show them your pictures or the pictures below.) People can be different in how they dress, or what color they are, or how they do their hair, or what things they like... People can be different in lots of ways. And we're all different from each other too. None of us are the same. And that's great because God likes us to be unique and different.

But there's one way that we can be all the same too. (Pass out your cloths or necklaces and ask the kids to put them on as you also put one on. Then read or summarize Galatians 3:23-29.)

No matter how different we are, we are all united - we are all one - in Jesus. When we believe in Jesus, God sees and loves all of us the same. We are all God's children. No one is better than anyone else when we are all together in our faith in Jesus. We're different in lots of other ways, but in our faith, we are the same.

Let's pray about that.

Sample prayer: Father God, we thank You for making all of us different, and thank You for loving us all the same and making all of us united in Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
