Bible Battles, a Christian trading card game, is a simple and fun way to learn about the Bible. Good for all ages, it offers different value to different age groups, keeping children, teens, and adults engaged and entertained.
Being a Christian card game, the focus is on the Bible, and the Christian trading cards include Scripture references. Parents will particularly love this Christian card game, because instead of being about destruction, its aim is to gain wisdom.
These Christian trading cards are beautiful. The artwork is obviously skilled, and based on more modern artistic interpretations of the Bible. The simple design and elegant artwork used for these Christian trading cards makes them easy to understand, easy to use, and easy for small children to read. Kids will want to read these Christian trading cards because the pictures are done in a similar style to picture books for older children.
The objective of this Christian card game is to reach a balance of 40 wisdom, though you can change that number for smaller or larger groups, or younger children. Using two 20-sided dice to count your wisdom, you gain one per follower, per turn. It adds a unique resource management factor into your Christian card game because the resources and rewards are one and the same. You must use your wisdom points to make certain plays, making it both complex and fun.
There are six different cultures that you can represent, adding the possibility of Biblically-themed games.
There are only 3 real downsides to this Christian trading card game:
- The starter deck only allows for playing two different cultures — Israel or Rome. This leads to either spending a lot of money on booster packs, or making for a lot of historical inaccuracy. If you are looking to relive battles that may have happened, Israel and Rome are not best the place to start.
- The possibility that poor luck in a starting hand will lead to losing the game quickly. The other player may take advantage of this, attacking you enough to win, before you are even able to play.
- The rules can be difficult to figure out. Without watching their online videos, there’s no real way of knowing what the dice (counting wisdom) or glass tokens (tracking damage) are for. (Of course, now you know.)
If you are having a hard time with the written rules, watching the game-play videos can really help.
This Christian card game is a great game for Christians of all ages. Even small children will enjoy looking at the pictures, and hearing the stories of the Bible characters.
