Genesis 18:16-33 Youth Sunday School

Refer to my Most Effective Way to Teach a Youth Bible Study

Discussion Points:

- "Shall I Hide... ?" - God questions whether or not to tell Abraham about what He going to do to Sodom and Gomorrah. He decides to tell Abraham because of the trust God has in Abraham and because of God's plan to do great in Abraham's life. Are you someone God can trust? Are you doing your best to follow His plan for your life? If so, don't be surprised when God reveals things to you. If you want to see and know what God is doing, follow Him to the best of your ability and become someone He can have confidence in.

- Pleading for Others - Abraham pleads boldly and repeatedly for the righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah. He knows his relatives, Lot and family, are living there. Are you someone who prays for others? Do you pray for your family? Do you plead for people to be saved like Abraham did? Talk about what it means to pray repeatedly, and boldly but while also maintaining our respectful tone toward God. As the story continues, we see that God did save Abraham's family. We need to have faith that if we keep pleading for our family members and loved ones to be saved, they will be.
